# Every project,
an exhibit

We are an independent studio working between art and design. We treat every project as an exhibit: it gets space around it, careful light and enough time to be seen properly.

Untitled Studio works the way a good gallery hangs a show. Nothing is crowded, nothing is rushed, and each piece is placed so it can be read on its own terms. That way of looking shapes how we start a project, how we make it and how we hand it over.

## Given room,
given light

We design environments for ideas to live in. From galleries to public spaces, our work is shaped by context, material and light.

- Room: An idea needs space around it to be understood. We cut back what competes with it, so the work has a clear wall of its own, whether that wall is a gallery, a page or a screen.
- Light: Light decides what is seen first and what is found later. We think about it early, as a material, and use it to lead the eye towards what matters in the work.
- Time: Considered work is not hurried. We give each project the time it needs to be thought through and made well, and we make work that asks for slower looking in return.

## The project
chooses the medium

We work across art and design, and let each project decide its medium.

We do not begin with a format and fit the idea into it. We begin with the idea, its context and the people it is for, and then find the form that carries it best. Sometimes that is a printed object, sometimes a room, sometimes something that moves.
